USPTO Fees Will Increase on Jan 18, 2025

The USPTO fee increase approved by the United States Patent & Trademark Office will take effect on January 18, 2025, raising costs for trademark applications, post-registration maintenance, intent-to-use filings, and other related fees. Businesses planning to file trademarks should understand these changes to avoid higher filing costs and unexpected expenses. The USPTO lists some of the fee increases here.

In addition, the USPTO is adding a new fee for applications that are incomplete, or that use a free-form identification for goods or services.
